No nonsense breadmaker!

| WOW! I have been using breadmakers for 15 years, and this one is a quantum leap in consistant results. After the the last stir down, removing the stirring paddles is a breeze. The posts are not nonstick, so if you choose to remove the paddles you will need to turn the posts from the bottom with pliers (only because they are extremely HOT) to release the loaf; one full turn will do. It is worth the effort to keep from having large voids left behind by the stirring paddles. Also having a rectangular loaf is a pleasure long overdue from breadmakers. I highly recommend using the Shaker wooden slicing guide instead of the plastic. With the wood you control the width of the slices. |
Belt Failure after 12 Loaves

The Zo BBCC-X20 is my first bread machine and It was purchased November 2008 from Amazon & I used it infrequently It was working fine, producing fine loaves of various recipes until a recent loaf of rye bread appeared as a pile of inedible lumps...i thought perhaps it was the rye flour so i tried a whole wheat loaf....not much better although it stayed together in a dense mass. i called Zojirushi and I e'mailed them photos i had taken of these loaves....a customer service rep phoned me and said that the drive belts need replacement. During our phone conversation, the Zo Rep had me run a test on the machine to verify that there was no other problem and then she showed the photos to a tech who ascertained the need for replacement belts.
I am disappointed in the short life of this hardly used machine before a repair is needed. I live upstate NY and the nearest service center to me is in Long Island (about 150 mi away. Zojirushi will sell me the 2 belts but will not provide a parts breakdown for do-it-yourself repair. I will not buy another Zojirushi product after this experience. I am very disappointed with this product that in all respects is well built but has a weak link to it. I should mention that i also own a Zojirushi rice maker that has worked well for years. |

| One two three. Put your ingredents in and press the the buttons. You do need to review the instructions carefully. What I will love about my new Zojirushi, when summer rolls around, I will not have a hot oven baking bread. I love this bread machine. |
